About the walk
A former colliery site that has been fully grassed and trees planted throughout and a lake! Plenty of wildlife from swans and ducks to deer. Lots of different paths that can be taken to make your route shorter or longer! All in all a lovely peaceful walk.

The only facility available is a small free car park at the entrance

Accessible from various entrances including the main one from the road that has a small free car park. Quite a hilly walk with some paths getting quite muddy in winter months and during wet weather.

Why the submitter loves this walk
It is a peaceful walk with lots of interesting paths to take including one around the lake. It’s very picturesque and is a great place for taking your dog for a walk.
