About the walk

Starting at the Crown and heading down to Scotland Street, around 400 yards on your right there is a footpath sign, follow that and go through the metal gate. This takes you through to a gorgeous field and continue following the yellow arrows. When you get to Hudsons Lane, take a right and head towards Park Road (B road), turn right and follow the road for 50 yards, then turn left to follow the footpath sign. Go past the reservoir (through the woodland path to the right) and head towards Wick Farm, turning right along the road. Continue along Wick Road, then turn left between the barn and Grove Cottage following the signposted footpath along Farm Drive. Go through the gate into the field that goes adjacent to the farm fields. Continue down the long drive to the B1807 and turn right, go along the road until you see a farm track to your left, follow the farm track to Poplar Farm, at the 3 post finger sign, turn right up the track to Stoke-by-Nayland, cross the churchyard and back to the pub for a well earned drink!

Facilities Available

The pub has everything you need at the beginning and end of the walk.

Accessibility

Quite tricky in some parts as its overgrown and there are a few hills to climb.

Additional Notes

Why the submitter loves this walk

It was somewhere new for us to walk and every turn was different. The views across the countryside at some points were amazing and Luna loved seeing the sheep and cows throughout the trail!
