About the walk

This walk provides spectacular views over the South Downs. The trail includes the iconic Box Hill steps, Salomons Memorial viewpoint, and a stretch of the River Mole.

Accessibility

Some parts of the trail are steep and uneven, not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Additional Notes

Dogs should be kept on leads around livestock and near busy roads.

It's a perfect blend of tranquil woodland and dramatic hilltop views. There's a wonderful sense of peace as you wander beneath the canopy of trees, and the sight that greets you from Salomons Memorial is truly panoramic. Dogs will enjoy the mix of terrain and new scents.
