On a random Friday, which happened to be Friday 13th, a day often associated with bad luck, I felt so lucky to watch this stunning sunset at Burnham Overy Staithe. It took my breath away, the colours, the clouds, the stillness, the reflection, everything.
On a Monday, we often seek a bit of extra motivation so let me share with you how the sunset motivates me. It inspires me, it recharges me, gives me hope and strength. It also encourages me to take a moment to reflect, to think about my aspirations and in that moment, I know that everything is okay. Sunsets are soothing and comforting, they are healing. You never know what you will see but I’m always excited to see what masterpiece Mother Nature creates for us.
⛅️ This beautiful sunset showed up after a cloudy day with stormy showers. It’s often after stormy days that the sunset is the most magical and beautiful- there’s comfort to be found in the fact that stormy times can still result in something positive, bright and full of hope and beauty. The reflection of the sky on the still water gave proof to the fact that after chaos, there will be calm and there is always promise of a new dawn.
☔️ Imagine what it would be like if on a stormy day, we never thought the sun would shine again. Imagine if we truly believed that. That’s what can happen when we go through stormy times, it can make us feel as though the rain won’t ever stop coming. But Mother Nature teaches us that everything is temporary and the weather is always changeable. Even when watching this sunset, the clouds passed by, every cloud in life is temporary. We cannot always predict the forecast but the sunset shows us that no matter what the weather, at the end of each day, we are still beautiful and sometimes those tougher times make us shine even brighter as though our strength is illuminated for all to observe and take inspiration from.
