About the walk
A lovely walk around the gardens and grounds of the castle. You do have to pay to visit the gardens – adults £7.50.I’m not sure what the amount is for parking as we parked just outside the grounds on the church car park and walked to the castle. The Italian gardens are beautiful, the Macbeth trail was wonderful with all the carved wood features from Macbeth. A walk to the walled garden which was lovely to see, passing over the river you come to the garden’s beautiful iron gates.

You can pay to have a tour of the castle also, no dogs though.
