About the walk

Arthur's Seat is an ancient volcano and site of a 2000-year-old fort, located in Holyrood Park, right in the centre of Edinburgh. It provides excellent panoramic views of the city.

Accessibility

The path to the summit is steep and uneven, not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies.

Additional Notes

Please keep dogs on leads during bird breeding season (April-July).

Why the submitter loves this walk

The ascent is a rewarding challenge, and the views from the top are unbeatable. It's a fantastic place for a walk with dogs but they may need to be on a lead due to the steep terrain.
