Matilda & Co was founded and is run by Louise. Inspired by her 4 adorable Shih Tzus, Matilda (Tilly for short), Paddy, Ruby & Fleur. She could never find well fitting harnesses for her pooches that looked fashionable so she decided to create fun, funky designs that fitted well.
Combining her knowledge of design, having trained as a designer at the London College of Fashion, with her first love of dogs. And so, Matilda & Co was born.
The other reason and passion for starting the company was so she could support charities to help disabled dogs in need. Tilly was diagnosed with IVDD in 2016 and has had major surgeries that have been a result of the illness. Louise wanted to help and support others going through what she has with Tilly with her knowledge and donations from sales.
We want to offer an affordable solution to other pup parents and create products that they could love as much as we do. Matilda & Co is a small business based in Essex by the Sea.
