Sometimes I feel this crazy world we live in gets far too complicated and overwhelming. There are so many expectations placed upon us for how we should act, live and be. All of this can sit heavily upon our shoulders as so often many of us feel like we don’t or can’t fit that mould or meet all of those unrealistic expectations.
But through starting this website and being 100% myself, I have realised we don’t have to partake in the pressure or race to meet any or all the expectations anymore. My only comparison is against the person I was yesterday. I have quit attending the School of Expectations and have simplified my life so much. I know that I derive the greatest amounts of happiness from sharing simple moments in nature with all you.
I want to normalise the fact that as long as something makes you happy, it does not have to make sense to anyone else. Life is too short to live by someone else’s rules on how to be happy.
So if your birthday plans involved going to Burnham Overy Staithe when it’s 2 degrees to watch the sunset with your amazing dog, then that is okay. If you found comfort in watching the reflection of the sunset on the water, then that is okay. If you looked up and used your imagination to find objects in the clouds, then that is okay. If you saw the Pink- Footed Geese flying home to roost and it made you smile a lot, than that is okay. As long as you did something you enjoyed and it made you happy, that is what matters.
My birthday has been full of joy from doing the simplest of things. My wish was for the clouds to clear and the sunset to be magical. And my wish came true ❤️.
‘Stay true to you and you will end up incredibly happy’
🎁🥺🐶🌅❤️
